Re-shirt has partnered with Water.org to make sure that the t-shirt you no longer wear lives on through its story and provides clean water to those who need it.

While thousands of t-shirts are discarded by their owners every day, millions more are being produced at an alarmingly wasteful rate.  Did you know that producing a single t-shirt requires 10,000 liters of water?  That is enough water for sanitation, bathing, and cooking needs, as well as for assuring survival to last a person 7 months.  Which wouldn’t be a big deal if we had oodles of water, but nearly 1 billion people are without safe water around the world.

Re-shirts save and give water: by re-using a t-shirt that already exists, we can save enough water to sustain a person for 7 months, and a percentage of Re-Shirt sales will support our partnership with Water.org so that every 12 Re-Shirts sold will ensure a person with a lifetime supply of clean water. A LIFETIME! Now that is a giving shirt.
