Our idea is simple - to reuse old t-shirts and transform them into story-telling artifacts that become more valuable as they get older: Re-Shirts. We want to be a part of the solution for the global water crisis by raising the funds to solve it.

Custo

I used to work just for fun as a model for a friend who was the first one to bring the Spanish Designer Custo to Vienna. I wore this T-Shirt on the catwalk and I really fell in love with it. After the show my friend gave it to me as a “thank you” .

young designers

I bought this shirt at a temporary designer market in Vienna, Kaiserstrasse. The shop was called “Wolke 7″ which means “Cloud 7″. Some young designers who got specialized on printing shirts created this one.

I like this, but what would I tell people if they asked me about it? I mean, how does the wolke 7 have to do with the design on the shirt?

Temple Bar

I bought this T-shirt in Dublin, Ireland. This was my first holiday together with my boyfriend. We made a boat trip on the Shannon River, which was just amazing. This country is so beautiful. After 2 weeks of adventure on a tiny river boat, and all this beautiful nature surrounding us, we really enjoyed partying in Dublin. We had a fabulous time in Ireland and guess what me and my boyfriend are still together and still very much in love.

xxx event

This T-shirt is from the legendary xxx parties. You got a phone number you had to call and then you got the info where the party would take place the same night. In 1991 I moved to Vienna and I heard about these parties. I had to be there. Today I am married to one of the organizers of the xxx events and this T-shirt is the souvenier I kept  for all those years.

Emotional Rollercoaster

I have to warn all future owners about this one. Despite its unconspicious colour I´ve always had a love/hate relationship with this shirt. I know it sounds pretty weird but I got an impression that this piece changes my mood. On certain days from sad to glad, on other days the other way round. Eventually I called it the “Emotional Rollercoaster T-Shirt”. This is a chance for someone else to ride it.

Heisenberg

I bought this shirt in Sydney in September 2006 after we had a meeting with Remo, the owner of Remo´s General Store (which is an amazing online store, too). When I saw the Heisenberg T-shirt in his storage room I knew that I needed to have one. I have worn it maybe three times but I still don´t know what fascinates my so much about the scientist Heisenberg. Ah yes, for those of you that do not know Werner Heisenberg: The blurred logo look like that on purpose. It is a symbol for the uncertainty principle he discovered.

orange

I like the color orange in general and I liked to wear my orange t-shirt. So when I saw the orange label of re-shirt the first time, my orange t-shirt came immediately to my mind. So I thought this is a sign to donate my t-shirt, and I hope there is a person out there in the world who would like to take good care of it.
